Thank you to all the ladies who helped make last year a successful and fun summer!  We value your help and look forward to getting together this summer!

The Ladies' Opening meeting will be held on Sunday, June 21st at 10:00 am in the clubhouse.  All lady members are welcome.  Please join us for coffee, tea and muffins before the meeting!  This is a time to get reacquainted with all the women members and to find out how to get involved with some of our events.  You can also register for the Better Ball Tournament at this time.  Our weekly Ladies' Day tournaments will be Wednesdays with tee offs starting at 8:30 am.  This year however, the first two Ladies' Days will be on Thursdays due to the St-Jean-Baptiste and Canada Day holidays.  The Ladies' Club Championship will be a little later this year with a format that was discussed at our closing meeting last year.   Class C and D will play three rounds of 9 holes each day starting on Friday, August 14th.  Class A and B will play 18 holes on Saturday and Sunday, August 15th and 16th.  We hope this format suits most of our players.  Please participate to make this a great competition in every class!  Please see your fixture card for other tournaments, times and events and let us know if you have any questions about the formats of the competitions.  No matter what your ability, please also register your scores in the starter shack to keep your handicaps up to date.

The 2009 quilt is being designed and coordinated by Paula and Andrea Minty.  Quilting packages are being distributed now.  Thanks so much to Paula and Andrea for all their work completing the packages for the quilters!  If you would like to be involved in the quilting bees, please let me know.  The quilt will once again be raffled at the Ladies' Cocktail Party in July and it is always a treasure, as last year's winner, Bill Gauley, can attest!

I will send emails to ladies occasionally throughout the summer as reminders of events, ladies' activities and news.  If you would like to be on this email list, please email me at Dunanyladies@gmail.com.  Your email address will not be distributed to other lists and is only used for Dunany news.  Copies of these emails will be posted in the starter shack on the Ladies' bulletin board during the summer.  Please feel free to email your ladies' committee at this address at any time if you have questions or comments about the ladies' events.  

I would like to thank Joan Gale as my past chairman these last two years for her special support.  Thanks also to Barb Armstrong for all her work as Ladies' Club Captain.  She did a wonderful job getting many people involved and active in the ladies' tournaments.  Thanks to all our volunteers whose many hands make light work!  I have enjoyed my term as Ladies' Chairman and wish Diane good luck and good golf as she takes over this position.
