Having just completed my first year as the director responsible for Membership, I am very pleased to report that our membership is strong.  We are at full capacity in the Regular Membership category although I do expect a certain turnover in 2009 as occurs every year and as did happen in 2008.

We were able, in 2008, to welcome William Coyle, Connie Everson, Deirdre Fitzsimons, Scott Laekas, Linda Kalakauskas, James Ovenden, John Rivière and Kim Tulloch as new Regular members.  We added to Introductory B membership, Jeffrey Clarke, Diana Clausen, Everett Clausen and William Topp.

We currently have a list of 3 Introductory A members and 36 Introductory B members.

Sadly, we lost a number of persons who have passed away in the last year and who will be missed.  They are:  Tony Gumpert, Claude Grandbois, Doris Laidley, Gordon Raza, Jean Ritchie, Sylvia Saul and Walter Tilden.

I would be remiss in not thanking Dave Friesen for the excellent work he did on Membership prior to handing off to me.  His files were in great order and he even took a couple of hours to go through the files and lists with me to review the overall situation.  Many thanks as well to Diana Minty without whom I would be lost.
