Lauren wins the quilt dedicated to the memory of her father, Ross Leslie
In all of the history of the Dunany Quilt, there has never been a more impactful win. The stars in heaven aligned as the winning ticket was plucked from the box to see Lauren Leslie called to accept the 2018 that was so lovingly dedicated to her father’s memory. Congratulations Lauren!
A huge thank you to Jean Sutherland Towell and all of the quilters who poured hours of time and talent into this year’s quilt. Also heartfelt thanks to Maureen Dubiel for once again organizing the Ladies Cocktail Party which is to many, the highlight of the summer. Our sincerest appreciation to everyone who made hors oeuvres, donated prizes and volunteered their time. Thank you!
Celebrating the life of Ross Leslie
An exceptional evening for an exceptional man.
“Count your blessings like you're counting steps to the Hustle and keep living like it's the best day ever of the best summer ever in the spirit of our fellow Dunanyite who did just that. Cheers, Rossy.”

This week the Ladies Club Championship will be held Friday August 10 to Sunday August 12. Tees will be closed each day at 7:00 a.m. Come down and cheer the ladies on. The course is in great shape and rain can only help. Good luck ladies!
A gentle reminder that if your ball lands in the Eco zone on the 8th hole, please use the designated drop zone just to the left of the bridge before crossing over the creek. Also, please allow faster players play through and to replace your divots and repair your ball marks. Thanks.
Have a great golf week and be sure to check the latest results of our ongoing tournaments including:
See you on the tee!

Club House Renovation – Quebec Grant Decision
As you know, we applied in February for a grant under Quebec’s Ministry of Sport to obtain funds to help us with our Club House renovation project. If you were at the DCA AGM, you would know that Jason Morrison, Mayor of Wentworth was very optimistic about our chances. Unfortunately, we were informed last week by Normand Fauchon, Director of the “Direction des infrastructures, des événements et de la gestion financière du loisir et du sport” that our proposal has not been granted.
We had received strong endorsements of support for our proposal from the MRC and the townships of Gore and Wentworth. Michael Fehr has spoken with Jason Morrison who is committed to continue to helping us with the project and will work with Natalie Black, Wentworth’s Executive Director and the MRC to try to identify other opportunities for funding.
We will also be organizing a meeting of our core fundraising and design teams to review our options.
We are committed to improving the quality of our Club House and Community Center for our members and for future generations and will keep you informed as we work through the challenges ahead. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact firstname.lastname@example.org
